New Music

The project is based on an installation and improvisational setup built on a hybrid system combining analog synthesis and digital programming.

Within the space, an autonomous generative system can be heard, channeling internal tensions under the control of a computer that functions as the beating heart of the entire structure. It breathes independently, while still leaving space for human encounter. In spontaneous moments, I enter this dormant field and, through minimal rewiring, shift the system from a passive installation state into a live performance, an improvised conversation between myself and the digital-mechanical organism he has built.

I see this system as a partner, an electrical entity inhabiting an in-between space, continuously evolving even in my absence. When I enter this liminal field, our encounter produces a living composition: pulsing, fragile, and unique to that exact moment. A single parameter change can disrupt the autonomous balance and generate a one-time sonic world that is unlikely to ever reoccur. This is an attempt to distill a moment, a shared, fleeting experience constructed together in space. Or, in other words: “to capture a take.”
