Tal Gershonovitz
This project is a live performance exploring the connection between an electric guitar and a complex, unpredictable system of five metal bodies, each with distinct material properties.

At the core of the work lies a search for a different, renewed electric guitar.
By deconstructing the amplifier into its components and reassembling it as a self-feeding system, a field is created that invites playing within a sonic-physical space, improvisation, and real-time compositional thinking. It becomes a site of research in which the amplifier transforms into a multiplicity of instruments, oscillating between a chamber ensemble and a collection of solo voices.
The performance marks a moment within an ongoing year-long process in which metal objects are collected from the street, filed, cut, hammered, and perforated into physical sound bodies. Through this process, techniques for converting electrical energy into kinetic motion are explored. This is a practice without an endpoint, where no two performances are ever identical.
