A typographic book created from a personal journey exploring prayer, an attempt to examine a single word through different typographic approaches.

During the Swords of Iron war, I would repeat the word “please” to myself, praying to God to protect my brothers – the soldiers, and the hostages. I repeated the word again and again until, out of anxiety, it turned into a calming mantra.
Prayer and repetition go hand in hand across different religions, from Buddhist prayer wheels to Muslim prayer beads to recurring texts and rituals performed again and again.
In my work, I examined how the same prayer word can shift only through typographic means, and how the text itself does not change, yet both its tone and its reader do.
