Nurit Eisental:
Desert time is a different kind of time. For one whole year, I had the privilege of living in the desert, working in nature, and discovering places I would never have seen otherwise between Dimona and Eilat. The trip to Dimona felt like going abroad. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when freedom was the rarest of commodities, I found myself a remote corner where I could feel truly free.
I collected some of the images I love best from that period, and tried to convey that sense of freedom through them. Whenever life feels too much like a race, I remember that place where I didn’t feel obligated to compete, where I was truly present in the moment, with no deadlines and no gridlocks. There was only peace and breathtaking view, and I focused solely on them. The landscapes of Dimona and the Arava region have been with me ever since, inspiring me to create.
