In the house where I grew up, I looked out through the glass doors into a yard surrounded by forest.
On the ground lay white sacks, soaked in blood, inside which were the bodies of baby horses.

Dead Baby Horses is a performative vocal solo work that uses the exposed medium of a single person at a microphone. The human voice enters as raw material into complex systems of sound processing, manipulation, and response, through which unfamiliar environments and physical matter are composed.

Through these materials, the work traces abstract dreams and constructs worlds that exist in the spaces between spaces.

This is a sonic and consciousness-based investigation of sound, frequencies, and acoustic phenomena, seeking to challenge the fragile separation between “reality” and dream, and to open a temporary passage for the blending of the unconscious with lived consciousness.

A big thank you to Shmuel Frenkel, Amir Boltzmann, Avi Sabag, the team of teachers, and the technical staff at Musrara, who have wonderfully accompanied us over the years.
