Tiny creatures. Dripping. Whispers. Shadows.
The work Primal is a forest-like installation that generates a sonic ecosystem. It is composed of exposed membranes emitting synthetic sounds that have been carefully kneaded and fermented.
Huge waves. Screams. An orchestra. Sun. Yawns, breaths, silence.
The shifts in material, shapes and time, are all inviting to tune into slow and deliberate listening, one filled with moments of deep focus and primal sensation.
✸ The piece will be performed as part of the New Music Department’s Output Events, on July 23-24. Admission is free with advance registration ‣ Wednesday 23.7 / Thursday 24.7
